Everyone posting online, yet sitting alone

Community close together, but at home on their phone

Talking about how lonely, isolated and sad they feel

Expressing deep feelings through machines that aren’t real

Family moves the elders closer, but never visit for days

More alone than when they lived 300 miles away

How has this become our society today?

We were made to connect, to share our day

Discuss our thoughts and dreams

Help each other out, make everyone feel seen

We all need this love, this bond, a human touch

Living this life alone can sometimes be too much

Reach out to someone and show warmth and care

All people want is for someone to be there
