Imagine the earth as a friend or a guide, not something you walk in or on but with

What would you say to her?

To the friend who only gives, with no expectations

Admire her, love her, cherish her

Walk slowly among the trees

What do you see?

Bright green all around, shimmering raindrops dance in the sunlight and drop gently

onto leaves who dance with joy

Crawling bugs, snails slowly crossing the path, snake sunning himself

And the earth keeps giving

Water flows down, unstoppable, eternal

Carving the earth and the rocks

Cold, fresh, untouched

Giving life to everything

Insects flit about

Moss dripping down

What do you smell?

Cool green air flowing in and out

Purifying, gently cleansing and grounding

Soil moist and nourishing

What do you feel?

At one with flow

In tune with Mother Earth

Grateful for all she gives, unconditionally

As I sit beside a waterfall with cool water flowing across my feet

On the shadowy side of the mountain

Stillness
